Simon Crawford-Phillips and Philip Moore used their 2004 BBT fellowship award to co-commission this new work for the piano repertoire. Our film follows the final three months of preparation as they experienced for the first time the thrill and excitement of progressing from a totally blank canvas to a fully fledged orchestral performance. We follow the journey from the duo’s first rehearsals in London, via sessions with Detlev Glanert in Hannover, to the premiere with Martyn Brabbins and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in Glasgow, on 15th March 2008.
