A Quick Guide to Videojuicer
WoMA.tv has three channels. The WoMA Channel broadcasts movies it has acquired or commissioned from the world of Martial Arts. The Guru channel features great video from internationally recognised martial artists. The Users Channel will be yours to fill and shape with your own favourite Martial Arts movies, clips – and even your own footage.
The WoMA Channel
WoMA.tv broadcasts everything you ever wanted to know about countless Martial Arts on the WoMA Channel. The Channel is updated with fresh movies each week with the most recently updated movies appearing first on your screen. To help you find what you want, the Channel’s content is divided into five special-interest streams: Grappling, Striking, Weapons, Mind-Body and Movies. Naturally some martial arts, like Karate, will be represented on all channels, while others will probably be found on only one or two channels. (Iaido, for example, is found only on the Weapons channel.)
The Guru channel
WoMA.tv’s recognised, credible martial artists use the Guru Channel to teach, play, and present themselves to the WoMA.tv community. Gurus can upload, save and edit their own video, and they can mix it with video from other channels to make their own unique Martial Arts movies. In the future they will be able to maintain their own blog, enjoy live chat with their disciples, and host online training seminars, masterclasses and events. Some of these additional services – grading reviews, training tips, ‘thoughts from the mat’, and so on – will be offered free of charge; some will be Pay Per View or subject to other payment systems.
The Users Channel
Soon, Users too will be able to upload, mix and share their own Martial Arts videos on the Users Channel. Visit the Users Channel and get to know the WoMA.tv community. Find other users, view their profiles, and watch their favourite channels, playlists & movies. Add your own profile and get yourself known.
WoMA.tv is full of Martial Arts movies. Some of these movies are feature-length; some are short clips. How you arrange your favourite material is up to you. Make playlists of your favourite videos by saving them inside My Channel. "Organise your movies" by dragging and dropping movies into a new order. By creating, editing and reordering your playlists, you can create and broadcast your own channel of content!
Watch playlists that have been created by WoMA.tv, by Gurus, or by other Users of WoMA.tv. Watch individual movies from a playlist, or sit back and watch entire playlists from beginning to end. Tell others what you think of a movie by adding a comment or by rating it. Add movies and playlists to your favourites – and remove them at a mouse-click.
You can also subscribe to channels using RSS (really simple syndication) and get all the material added to that channel since your last visit. (You will need an RSS Reader on your computer to view RSS feeds within your browser. For more info on RSS, see wikipedia.org)
See something that you want to share with friends? WoMA.tv’s "share this.." feature will email your friends and acquaintances with a personal branded message linking them to your favourite content.
Soon you will be able to remix your own movies! Copy movies to your remix folder, view them, and reorder them into a timeline, trimming each movie to grab exactly what you want. Add audio, photos, and even text. Save your new movie and broadcast it on the Users Channel! You’ll even be able to have more than one re-mix on the go at the same time. We have great plans for this feature, so keep watching.
