Rembetika
Rembetika was born in the urban underworld of Athens and Pireus over 85 years ago. It is the music of the urban underworld, of people living outside the law and on the fringes of society.
The musicians of Apsilies met by chance and ended up played the music of their childhood together, to an audience that wouldn’t leave. Here, they perform at the Music Village festival on the side of Mount Athos, Greece.
